Hinokami Distillery: "HINOKAMI NEW BORN #3"
Limited to 3,000 bottles nationwide
On October 2, 2026, Hinokami Distillery will release its third expression, "HINOKAMI NEW BORN #3," in a limited quantity across Japan. Centered on bourbon-matured whisky, this release features a phenol level of 20 PPM—the highest in the series to date—bringing the "smoky" character, which had previously been expressed with subtle nuance, to the very forefront. Inspired by the smoke used to cure *katsuobushi* (dried bonito)—a local industry in Makurazaki—this "new born" whisky embodies the spirit of the land, balancing a smoky profile with an elegant character.
"Elegance" serves as the core theme for HINOKAMI’s malt whisky. As the final chapter in the "HINOKAMI NEW BORN" series—a journey dedicated to the pursuit of elegance—this third release embraces the nuances of fire and smoke that are so deeply woven into the fabric of Makurazaki.
