We are launching the "Kanosuke Collaboration Series," through which we explore the potential for new flavor profiles by exchanging unblended whisky with distilleries both in Japan and abroad.
As the first release, "01 KANOSUKE × SABUROMARU" was created in collaboration with the Saburomaru Distillery in Tonami City, Toyama Prefecture.

The character of peated whisky spirit varies significantly depending on factors such as the distillery’s environment and equipment, as well as the processes of fermentation, distillation, and maturation. Kanosuke’s peated spirit is characterized by a certain softness and an impression that harmonizes with sweetness. In contrast, the peated spirit from Saburomaru Distillery possesses a distinct profile, combining power with depth. It was precisely this contrast in character that allowed us to bring out the best in each whisky in a more multidimensional way through this blend. By layering a mellow spirit profile with a robust peaty backbone, we have achieved a new balance that would have been impossible to attain with either whisky alone.
