Filled into bourbon casks and Oloroso sherry casks in October 2022. In May 2025, only the spirit from the Oloroso sherry casks was transferred to Mizunara casks for an 11-month finishing period. Subsequently, it was vatted with the spirit from the bourbon casks.
This is the third single malt whisky release from a small-scale distillery in Niigata. If "Gemini" were a person, she would be a woman of the Gemini zodiac sign. The label depicts this Gemini woman. One figure has pale golden hair reminiscent of light. The other has brown hair, evoking the quiet presence of trees. They appear alike, yet distinct. Though contrasting, they reflect and illuminate one another like a pair of mirrors. Glamour and serenity. Innocence and delicacy. Freedom and reality. West and East. We have layered the "dual personalities" of Gemini into a single whisky. The character it reveals at first differs slightly from the one that emerges over time. With every tilt of the glass, the impression shifts little by little— as if two women were quietly speaking to you.
